Before making any decisions about elder care options you will want to make sure that you are obtaining accurate and relevant information from a reliable and well informed source.
For your peace of mind, I would like to tell my story about how I became an Eldercare Consultant.
I am a registered nurse who qualified from Guy’s Hospital, London in 1983 and who has gained varied experience in both public and private healthcare sectors; eleven years’ hospital based and twenty years’ experience working as an independent care adviser and nurse assessor for older people, largely but not exclusively, in the community.
My registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council together with my membership of the Care Adviser Network and affiliate membership of the Society of Later Life Advisers place me in the unique position of being qualified to provide advice on both health and care needs and the legal and financial issues which inevitably come to the fore when looking for the right care.
When regulated financial or legal advice are required I am able to introduce you to specialist solicitors or independent financial advisers who have particular expertise in elder care issues.
I am passionate about older peoples’ rights to informed choice and quality care in an environment of their own choosing and consider myself to be very fortunate to have met so many wonderful and interesting people throughout my career.
I pride myself in providing a professional, personal and confidential service to all of my clients and it would be a privilege to assist you.
I look forward to hearing from you.
